The existing terrace house was a 3 bedroom dwelling that only had one bathroom and a minuscule kitchen (literally 2m x 2.2m). The dwelling was in poor condition, had a terrible layout and was in dire need of a major renovation. The location of the existing kitchen created an awkward space that made the living/dining areas difficult to use.
The brief was to enhance the capital value of the house. To maximise capital value of this house, this modern alteration and addition design fully integrated the existing house with new built.

The Client wanted a modern contemporary home despite the fact that the property was located in a heritage conservation area. Despite this, we were able to achieve approval through negotiations with Council by maintaining the front portion of the existing house.
